The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) again appeals to citizens with a statement that all the news related to the fact that it approved the activities of the Russian financial pyramid MMM in Nigeria is not true.
Russians are familiar with the activities of MMM. The organizers of the pyramid promised 30% return on investment. And more recently, an article appeared in the newspapers accusing that the bank allegedly sticks its nose into the affairs of foreigners and does not allow its citizens to earn.
It was also reported that the chairman of the CBN assured Nigerians that this scheme is quite legal and works.
And what about the statement that even officials from the Ministry of Finance put their money there?
Isaac Okorafor, executive director of the CBN, denied all such claims and recommended staying away from all schemes.
MMM, on the other hand, is doing well in Nigeria, having celebrated a year of its stay there by donating part of the funds to the fund for internally displaced persons.
