The accelerated registration procedure has become quite attractive for trading companies, but changes are coming from 2017. For the accelerated consideration of the application, the company will have to pay neither more nor less, 25,000 euros. And there are reasons for this. Since the introduction of the accelerated registration procedure, the number of applicants has grown so much that the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission simply does not have time to consider all applications. This prompted the regulatory authorities of Cyprus that it would be nice to make changes.
Now applications for accelerated registration will not be accepted until next year. And it’s not that the program failed. Rather, on the contrary, it turned out to be extremely successful. But the Securities and Exchange Commission cannot cope with the amount of work that has fallen on it. Registration will be resumed from the new year, the rules will remain the same, but the commission will increase – from 2017 it will be 25,000 euros.
Those who managed to submit applications in advance will receive registration within the time frame as established.
The Cypriot regulator is tightening its position on forex and binary options brokers, but this does not change the situation. The number of companies wishing to register is not decreasing, but growing at an incredible rate. Therefore, the Cypriot regulator decided to earn extra money, since the situation allows.
