The Japan Futures Association has already published a monthly report on the latest trends in the development of options trading in the country. The trading activity of the Japanese has decreased over the past month by almost 7.5 percent, but the latest trends in the trading industry are already showing an increase in the activity of traders.
Binary options traders in Japan invested less and less in trading, as the popularity of the product fell, due to the fact that the association began to officially monitor the activities of all seven brokers registered in the country.
After peaking at ¥117.5 billion in April 2014, trading transactions have fallen significantly, with turnover of only ¥37.8 billion in September. Further, the percentage fell even more, to 17.5 billion yen.
But binary options brokers have been going through difficult times, not only in Japan. The new rules introduced by European regulators have also stopped the activities, partially or completely, of some brokers.
European regulators have yet to figure out how to effectively regulate brokers. In Japan, innovations regarding binary options trading have also led to some difficulties, especially for those brokers for whom all funds are good, just to get customers.
